WINNERS HALL OF FAME

Blaine Kneece 2009

"Biography. What is a biography? Who is a biography? Let me clarify this...

Blaine Kneece is a writer and performer of comedy. What is comedy? What is it to perform comedy? Let me clarify this...

Blaine was born and raised (in that order) in Philadelphia. He excelled in his studies and went off to become a designer. He did that. People laughed and so he decided to call what he was doing "comedy" instead of art. And both parties were happier as a result.

He has lived in New York since 2002. Unless you're from the IRS, in which case he has only just moved here. What are taxes? What does it mean to pay taxes? Let me clarify this...

The type of comedy that Blaine creates depends on his outside influences at the time. Once, he wrote and performed a musical about Abraham Lincoln because a friend dared him. It was done in the style of W.C. Fields for no discernable reason other than that he purchased a Fields boxed set just prior to writing it.

Blaine's influences are mainly the greats: The Marx Bros., Ernie Kovacs, Jacques Tati, ChaplinKeatonLloydFieldsLaurelandHardy, etcetera. In addition to people in Black & White, Blaine is also influenced by people in Color: Peter Sellers, Andy Kaufman, Steve Martin, Jonathan Winters, Don Knotts. And by people of color, like Richard Pryor.

Blaine is also influenced by many substances on occasion. What are these substances? How can you obtain a substance? Let me clarify this...

Thank You."
